VIP recognizes that one of the Haitian's greatest needs is equipment, which will help jumpstart, its economy and make the most of the limited resources this nation possesses. To that end, VIP has provided a number of innovative resources, like Solar Water Heaters for all of the 24-Hour Clinics they support, thus providing an alternative to using expensive charcoal for fuel, and saving the trees in this very barren land. Donations of tools (used or new) are always welcome. Please contact us if you feel you can help.
In the last decade, VIP has shipped both family size and institutional size Solar Ovens to Haiti, and solar generators for electricity in use in the remote areas of the country where electricity is available otherwise with gas generators only. Solar Ovens and training how to use them provides a method for the Haitians to prevent further deforestation and waste in their country. Please click on this provided link and consider a donation for this much needed piece of equipment. Your donations here help in so many ways beyond just an alternative method for cooking food. Won't you please help?

VIP, through the use of matching grants from Rotary International, has also provided cement mixers and forms for building crucial hospitals, clinics and other buildings. This provides needed jobs and helps improve the living conditions on many. In addition, VIP volunteers provide assistance in construction projects for a variety of community-needed buildings on their scheduled trips. If you have a talent that would help in the Economic Development of Haiti please consider joining us on one of our trips
On the agricultural side, pregnant goats have been provided so Haitians can begin building herds to provide milk and nutrition for their children. A donation of $180.00 provided not just the pregnant goat but training in the skills that are needed to care for the goat and assure that the delivered Kid grows to maturity. Each family that receives a pregnant goat has to give the offspring to a neighbor to help start other herds as well. This provides not just nutrition but wealth for the poor families.
